Wulguru Group is extending is its operations to include the manufacturing of rail wagons and has appointed Hurst Constructions Queensland to build stage 1 of the new facility. Site works are underway with completion of this stage anticipated for late 2023.
“It is an exciting time for Wulguru Group working towards the creation of this new business. Presently new freight rail wagons are largely manufactured internationally and imported into Australia. Wulguru intends to onshore these capabilities through this new facility and provide the employment, economic and social benefits for Northern Australia,” a representative from Wulguru Group said recently. “We are very proud and thankful to be part of stage 1. This project showcases that local companies and builders can work together to achieve great things. Both Wulguru Group and Hurst Constructions Queensland see the big picture and look forward to a long-lasting, transparent relationship,” said Jarrod Hurst, Managing Director Hurst Constructions Queensland.
