Setting a New Standard in Sustainable Construction.
At Hurst Constructions QLD, we’re committed to delivering smarter, more sustainable outcomes across every project. That commitment recently reached a new milestone with the delivery of the Harvey Norman Warehouse in Townsville—the first major project in North Queensland built entirely with Holcim’s ECOPact low-carbon concrete. Every month, 86 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer. That’s 86 kids—and 86 families—whose lives are turned upside down.
A major step forward for heavy engineering in North Queensland. Hurst Constructions QLD is proud to have delivered this state-of-the-art facility for Wulguru Group, designed to support the resources industry with precision and scale.
It’s not the first and certainly not the last. At Hurst Constructions QLD, we take on the buildings that scare most away and transform them into something incredible.
We’re proud to have delivered on our promise with the Design and Construct of Harvey Norman's major storage warehouse, expanding their capacity by 10,000m². Despite challenges like material supply shortages and unpredictable wet weather, we kept the project on track—pushing forward and overcoming obstacles to meet deadlines.
Racing against the clock and the rain to get out of the ground before the wet season hits.
Hurst Constructions Qld. is proud to have sponsored the Souths Junior Rugby League Football Club for this year’s Dean Schifilliti Shield. We are committed to investing in our community and promoting youth sports, and this event beautifully showcases the skills and passion of local athletes.
Last Friday, our Hurst staff came together for our annual HCQ Staff Day! We kicked off the day with a round of golf at Rowes Bay Golf Club, where everyone embraced the "G" theme—complete with some playful pranks featuring exploding golf balls.
We’re excited to share footage showcasing the groundwork for Hurst Constructions Qld’s latest project: 6000 square metres of storage sheds on a 12,000 square metre block! This phase involved extensive preparation, including a massive redesign of the project to secure development approval for the storage sheds, a two-storey caretaker building, and a childcare centre. A big thank you to the team for their hard work in navigating the process with Townsville City Council. Watch as we lay the foundation for what's to come! Check out the video and stay tuned for more updates! Hurst Constructions Queensland are looking for expressions of interest from competent sub-contractors for several large upcoming projects in the Townsville area.
