Marissa Papageorge from the Hurst team has pedalled her way into our hearts by conquering the epic 374km Townsville to Cairns Charity Bike Ride and has contributed to raising a phenomenal $300,000 for the Children’s Cancer Institute! “They kept calling for Malcolm over the loudspeaker, and it took a lot of ignored calls and confusion for everyone to figure out Malcolm was actually Martin,” Martin Brooke told us with a laugh. “After ten years, they’re still getting my name wrong!”
This season's youth Athletics Carnival perfectly showcased Martin Brooke, our Chief Construction Operations Officer, and his remarkable ability to turn any situation into a light-hearted and enjoyable experience. As the event’s dedicated timekeeper, he was at the centre of a humorous mix-up. Despite the repeated calls for “Malcolm,” Martin took it all in stride, laughing and making light of the situation. Representatives from Hurst Constructions Qld recently attended the Townsville Industry Breakfast at the Townsville RSL.
Yesterday we attended the Townsville Enterprise Mining and Resources Forum. The event was held at The Ville with a packed audience of industry representatives.
It was great to attend the Red Shield Appeal Business Launch Breakfast recently with 400 members of the Townsville business community.
Recently our Managing Director Jarrod Hurst was invited by Townsville Enterprise to be a panellist for the inaugural North Queensland Emerging Leaders Alumni Mixer at Flinders Lane Townsville.
It was great to see such an engaged audience at the first Townsville Industry Breakfast for 2023.
