Housing affordability continues to be one of North Queensland’s most significant challenges, with increasing pressure on families, essential workers and vulnerable members of the community trying to secure stable housing.
Hurst Constructions is proud to support 86K for a Cure, a national initiative raising funds for childhood cancer research. As a Townsville-based construction company working across North Queensland, we believe supporting the communities we build in is just as important as the projects we deliver. This March, our team is once again taking part in the 86K challenge to help raise awareness, funds and support for families facing childhood cancer. If you’d like to support the cause, donations can be made here:

Setting a New Standard in Sustainable Construction.
At Hurst Constructions QLD, we’re committed to delivering smarter, more sustainable outcomes across every project. That commitment recently reached a new milestone with the delivery of the Harvey Norman Warehouse in Townsville—the first major project in North Queensland built entirely with Holcim’s ECOPact low-carbon concrete. Every month, 86 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer. That’s 86 kids—and 86 families—whose lives are turned upside down.
