Townsville to Cairns Charity Bike Ride

Talk about a wheely big win! 

Marissa Papageorge from the Hurst team has pedalled her way into our hearts by conquering the epic 374km Townsville to Cairns Charity Bike Ride and has contributed to raising a phenomenal $300,000 for the Children’s Cancer Institute! 

​Marissa’s journey was a true test of endurance. Starting her training just two months before the event, she faced challenges that would make even a mountain goat break a sweat, including the notorious Cardwell Range—a climb so tough it might as well have been called the “Cardwell Ranges of Doom.” But she powered through with grit, a lot of encouragement, and perhaps a few well-timed snack breaks.  

Her dedication is a shining example of our company’s commitment to supporting children and providing every opportunity to make a difference. Reflecting on her ride, Marissa shared, “This experience has shown me that with determination and support, we can achieve more than we ever thought possible. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who encouraged and supported me—I couldn’t have done it without you!”
