Every month, 86 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer. That’s 86 kids—and 86 families—whose lives are turned upside down. In March, our Hurst team took on the 86K for a Cure Challenge, joining thousands of others across the country to help change those numbers. It wasn’t just about hitting a distance target—it was about showing up for the kids who don’t get a choice.
💛 Our Impact • 8 team members • 1,035km moved • $13,048 raised by Hurst • $2.43 million raised nationwide Together, we ran, walked, and pushed ourselves further every day—knowing that every step could help fund better treatments, boost survival rates, and bring hope to families facing the toughest fight of their lives. Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of Australian children. But with the right research and support, survival rates continue to improve. The funds raised through this challenge go directly towards groundbreaking research, clinical trials, and essential family support programs. To everyone who donated, shared our journey, or sent us encouragement--thank you. Your support helped drive us forward and made every kilometre count. This challenge may be over, but the mission isn’t. At Hurst, we believe in backing causes that matter—and standing with the people who need it most. Together, we’re moving closer to a future without childhood cancer. Comments are closed.
