Hurst Constructions is proud to support 86K for a Cure, a national initiative raising funds for childhood cancer research. As a Townsville-based construction company working across North Queensland, we believe supporting the communities we build in is just as important as the projects we deliver. This March, our team is once again taking part in the 86K challenge to help raise awareness, funds and support for families facing childhood cancer. If you’d like to support the cause, donations can be made here: https://www.ccia.org.au/fundraisers/HurstConstructionsQLD At Hurst Constructions, we believe a business is part of the community it operates in.
For us, that community is North Queensland. The place where we live, raise our families and deliver the construction projects that shape our region. Supporting the community goes beyond the work we do on site. It means standing behind causes that matter to the people around us. One of those causes is 86K for a Cure. Every month in Australia, 86 children are diagnosed with cancer. The challenge represents those children and the families whose lives change overnight. Across March, the Hurst Constructions team will again take part in the 86K for a Cure challenge, collectively covering the kilometres alongside thousands of others around the country to help raise funds for childhood cancer research and family support programs. For our team, this initiative is about more than completing a distance target. Like many families across Townsville and North Queensland, childhood cancer is a cause that sits close to home. Supporting the challenge is a small way we can stand behind the children, parents and families navigating something no one should ever have to face. The funds raised through the challenge help support groundbreaking research, clinical trials and essential family support services, all aimed at improving survival rates and outcomes for children diagnosed with cancer. While our day-to-day work as a commercial and industrial construction company focuses on delivering projects across North Queensland, initiatives like this are a reminder that the role of a business extends far beyond the job site. We are proud to once again have our team involved in 86K for a Cure and to play a small part in supporting the families and organisations working towards a future without childhood cancer. Supporting the Communities We Build In As a Townsville-based construction company, Hurst Constructions works across a range of commercial, industrial and community projects throughout North Queensland. Supporting initiatives like 86K for a Cure is another way we aim to contribute positively to the region we build in and the communities we are proud to be part of. Because at the end of the day, strong communities are built not just through buildings, but through the people who stand behind them. Comments are closed.
